Frequently Asked Questions

Booking & Payments

What is the booking process?

Firstly, please get in touch with us either using our contact form, by phone or by email to see if we are available for your wedding day. I'll get back in touch with you as quickly as I can to arrange a consultation. If you are not too far away, I'll come and see you both at your home, or we can arrange a video chat or maybe meet for a coffee somewhere convenient to us both.

It's essential to discuss between yourselves if we are the right fit for your wedding day and also to take another look at our work to make sure you LOVE our style of storytelling.

If we tick all your boxes then, of course, we would be honoured to be there and capture your fantastic wedding day so please drop us a message or call and so we can then start the booking process.

We use a fantastic secure online customer management system which handles everything for us. We will send you details of how to login to your personal client's page, and from here, you will find everything that you will need to fill in, this will include the quote which we would have already talked about for you to approve. You will also be able to sign the contract in your client area, fill in our questionnaires about your wedding day and even pay your deposit and balance securely online through your client area too.

Once you have done this and the booking is complete, our services are then secured for your wedding day.

At any time during this process you have any questions at all, please do not hesitate to contact me so I can either guide you or offer additional support if you need it.

How much is the booking fee to secure us?

The booking fee is 30% of the total cost of your chosen services and is payable to secure our services for your wedding day.

The booking fee is also refundable within 14 days of payment should you change your mind for any reason at all.

When is the balance due?

The balance of your wedding package is due no later than 30 days before your wedding day. You will be able to make partial payments at any time and we can also offer a payment schedule if you'd like to have the balance split into monthly payments. The choice is yours.

Do you offer a payment plan?

Our Customer Management System allows us to spread your balance payment over the coming months up until your wedding day. This is not credit, it is just a way for us to be able to help our clients split the costs and send reminders for the monthly payments via email. There is no charge for this, just let us know this is what you want to do when booking. Please note that the balance must be paid in full no later than 30 days before your wedding day.

Travel & Travel Costs

Are there any local wedding venue travel limits?

We deem “local” to be any venue with a 35 mile radius of CF4 6EL. Any weddings within this radius will have travel costs included in the package price.

If your wedding is outside 35 miles and within 120 minutes of travelling time, there are additional travelling costs to pay at 25p per mile over 35 miles.

Will you travel elsewhere in the UK?

Yes, we will travel to any venue situated in the UK and if the distance from CF4 6EL is greater than 2 hours travelling time, additional costs will occur for accommodation and extra travel costs.

We do not expect any 5-star treatment here, we just ask to be somewhere comfortable and near the venue.

We’re getting married abroad, do you travel for destination weddings?

Absolutely yes, we will travel to any European country to be there to capture your special day. We'll also travel much further afield.

Your Films

STILL HAVE QUESTIONS?

Contact Us using the CONTACT form above.

When will my highlight film be ready?

We aim to get your highlight film finished and online within a few days of your Wedding Day. We will host it online for you so you can see it the moment it's ready and share with friends and family.

How long do the full doc films take to be finished?

This used to take quite a while but due to investment in our editing suite, and continued development in our own processes, your full documentary edit film will be ready and delivered within 4-6 weeks.

Will my videos be in 4K?

The final videos you will receive will be in the best quality 1080P full HD, and it’s very hard to tell the difference between them on a 4K TV sitting at a normal viewing distance.

All of our cameras can film in 4k so if this is something you'd want us to film your entire wedding in, there is an additional charge of £150 to cover the extra storage and handling of the 4K files.

You must let us know before your wedding day if you'd like to add this on to your package.

How long do you store the raw footage for?

We store the raw footage for no longer than 3 months from the date you receive the final doc film, after which it will all be deleted.

You have two revisions included for free when you book us so when you receive your films, and you'd like a little tweaking, please make sure you take advantage of this during the three month period.

We strongly advise our clients to make sure they have everything they need from us during this time because when it's gone, it's gone.

Do you keep backups of clients finished films?

Yes, we keep backups indefinitely of all finished films from all weddings just in case something happens and you lose your original USB drive etc. Just get in touch and I'll happily send you a copy.

We also advise clients to think about creating their own backups. You can't have too many backups.

How long are the films?

The highlight film will last between 5 and 7 minutes.

The length of the full doc film mainly depends on how long the ceremony and speeches are and any other events you have organised on your day. We do not put an upper limit on how long this film should be.

On average, a Civil Ceremony wedding film will last ~60 minutes and a Church Wedding ~90 minutes.

What about the music?

The music for your highlight film is very carefully chosen from either soundstripe.com or artlist.io You will receive licences along with your film as each track will be chosen specifically for your film and will not have been used in any other clients film.

If there are specific commercial tracks you'd like me to use, that is sometimes possible but licencing can get very expensive. If you'd like to pursue this, please let me know and I can find out the costs for you.
