Frequently Asked Questions

Hiring a Wedding Videographer or Wedding Photographer to capture your special day is a daunting task as there can be so many to choose from.  There are always common questions that our clients ask so we’ve collected a few of them and provided some answer below.  If you would love to consider us as your Wedding Videographer and need any other questions answered, please get in touch with us.  This is our Wedding Videography FAQ!

You can get to know us a little better here or why not get in touch to get to know us a little better.

How long does the Ceremony and Speeches Video last?

The length of each film will roughly depend on how long each lasts on the day.  Your ceremony and speech video will be a professionally edited multi-cam video, so we will cut out any lengthy pauses etc. so there is a lovely flow to each film.

Is there a contract to sign?

Yes, there is a contract that needs to be signed by both yourselves and Paul Hunter-Rowe at the time of booking.  Your wedding date is not confirmed unless both contract and deposit are paid.

What happens if we change our mind?

You have 14 days from the day you pay your deposit to be able to get the refunded if you change your mind.  You will receive a full refund of any money paid to us.  After the 14 days, the deposit will not be refundable.

Are there any local wedding venue travel limits?

We deem “local” to be any venue with a 35-mile radius of CF4 6EL.  Any weddings within this radius will have travel costs included in the package price.  If your wedding is outside 35 miles and within 90 minutes of travelling time, there are additional travelling costs to pay.

Will you travel elsewhere in the UK?

Yes, we will travel to any venue situated in the UK and if the distance from CF4 6EL is greater than 2 hours travelling time, additional costs will occur for accommodation and extra travel costs.

We’re getting married abroad, is this an option?

Absolutely yes, we will travel to any European country to be there to capture your special day.  There are however a number of additional costs involved but we are really happy to discuss these with you when you get in touch.

Do you offer a photography service?

Although we have many years of wedding photography experience, we are not offering a dedicated photography service as part of our packages.  We need to be 100% dedicated and focused on capturing the best emotional connections on video of your amazing wedding day.

Can you produce photos from the video?

Yes, we can extract images from the 4k footage taken on the day.  We do offer our clients up to 200 images taken directly from the high-resolution footage, and we can produce a nice set of images for you to keep.  This is available as an optional extra which you can add onto your package for £150.

What is the booking process?

First, please get in touch with us either using our contact us form, by phone or by email to see if we are available for your wedding day.  I’ll get back in touch with you as quickly as I can to arrange a consultation.  If you are not too far away, I’ll come and see you both at your home, or we can arrange a video chat.

We can then both find out if our Wedding Videography services are suitable for you, and you can ask any questions that you may have.  I’m a really friendly Wedding Videographer and Wedding Photographer, we absolutely do NOT bite!  We will ask you not to make a decision there and then, but to go away and have a chat, just so you to make sure we are 100% right for you.  If we tick all your boxes then, of course, we would be honoured to be there and capture your fantastic wedding day so please drop us a message or call and so we can then start the booking process.

We use a fantastic secure online customer management system which handles everything for us.  We will send you details of how to login to your personal client’s page, and from here, you will find everything that you will need to fill in, this will include the quote which we would have already talked about for you to approve. You will also be able to sign the contract in your client area, fill in our questionnaires about your wedding day and even pay your deposit and balance securely online through your client area too.

Once you have done this and the booking is complete, our services are then secured for your wedding day.

At any time during this process you have any questions at all, please do contact me so I can either guide you or offer additional support if you need it.

How much deposit is payable to secure you for our wedding day?

A deposit/retainer of 30% is payable to secure our services for your wedding day.

When is the balance due?

The balance of your wedding package is due no later than 30 days before your wedding day.

Do you offer a payment plan?

Our Customer Management System allows us to spread your balance payment over the coming months up until your wedding day.  This is not credit, it is just a way for us to be able to help our clients split the costs and send reminders for the monthly payments via email.  There is no charge for this, just let us know this is what you want to do when booking.  Please note that the balance must be paid in full no later than 30 days before your wedding day.

When will my highlight film be ready?

We aim to get your highlight film finished and online within a few days of your Wedding Day.  We will upload it to our YouTube channel to host the video and this allows you to share on any social media platform for your friends and family to see.

How long do the extended films take to be finished?

These take considerable time to put together which is why they can take up to 10 weeks to complete, possibly longer based on our workload at the time.  We will be able to advise you at the time of purchase.  If there are delays, we will keep you informed at every step of the way.

Will my videos be in 4K?

The final videos you will receive will be in the best quality 1080P full HD, and it’s very hard to tell the difference between them on a 4K TV.   We do shoot all the footage in 4K as this gives the best quality downscaled to full HD video.  Capturing your wedding day in 4K gives us the flexibility we need in post-processing do deliver the cinematic footage our clients demand.

If I purchase all the footage, what will I get?

Clients that purchase all the camera footage will get pretty much everything shot on the day.  You’ll also get each cameras audio, unseen footage that doesn’t make it into any of the other films, and all the footage in its native resolution which the majority will be in 4K.  This will be the raw footage straight out of the cameras so no editing, colour grading or other cinematic processes will have been applied to them.

How long do you store the footage for?

We store the footage for no longer than 1 year after which it will all be deleted.  We strongly advise our clients to make sure they have everything they need from us before a year after the wedding day.  If you have booked a highlight package, you have 12 months from your wedding day to contact us if you decide you’d like the extended film and full ceremony and speeches.  Also, the same applies for the all the raw footage taken on the day.
